Students in Math 3260 (Introduction to Graph Theory) were asked to use microscopes to take pictures of certain minerals and other common surface materials, such as clothing, skin, and textbooks. Once the pictures were obtained, students were then asked to generate a graph based on interesting features of those pictures and discuss the properties learned in class of those graphs.
